Amritsar Diaries

Amritsar, the land which has been blessed by Sikh Gurus. The majestic Golden Temple glorifies the beauty of the city. It’s a city situated in the state of Punjab. The evening at Golden Temple is made most serene with Shabad kirtan which is followed by verse recitation from Guru Granth Sahib. The evening at Wagah Border witness the great spectacle for the parade by  India’s first line of defence forces or @bsf_india. At the other side of the border Pakistan rangers also participate in the parade. The City has a rich history. The gold at The Golden Temple was plated by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh. The City also witnessed the brutal killing of peaceful gathering on the order of General Dyre. The Jallianwala Bagh has preserved the painful memory in the form of bullet marks on the walls. The bloody well in which many people jumped to save their lives reminds of the dark part of history.
